Rebuttal to Peta's Video

This video by Peta shows animal "rights activists",  how to tell people to stop wearing fur. Well Im sorry to say but in many ways their sick propaganda has caused victories, and led to the decrease in fur usage how our fur market depends on Russia and the Oriental countries. That is why I wrote this rebuttal.

If your ever confronted by one of these loonies here are some ways to respond. Unless they confront you with some of the ways alot of their peers do with the harrassment, attacks and even worse going into a fur farm and letting your animals loose! These people are criminals! If anyone does any of the above, please call the police. But when someone brings up points like these in the video  you can counter them with facts!

Qoute: "Rabbit get their necks broken and Foxes get electrocuted"

Rebuttal: Well electrocution and neck breaking are humane ways to dispatch an animal if  done properly. In fact a few decades ago people receiveing executions were electrocuted and hung which is the same principle and is relativelly humane. Plus today fur farmers use veterinary practices to harvest the animal.

Qoute: "In China there are no penalties for abusing animals on the fur farms there"

Rebuttal: Although sadly China has a history of animal cruelty, they have in fact now laws governing fur farming and animal husbandry. What this woman said was a flat out lie. " Read the whole article here.
"The article also made some irresponsible remarks such as that China has no regulations on animal husbandry and the Chinese government overlooks fur animal farming. Chinese fur animal farms are under joint administration of China's State forestry administration and Ministry of Agriculture. Rules and regulations related to fur animal farming include: "Wild Animal Protection Law of the People's Republic of China" passed and implemented by the Fourth Session of the Seventh National People's Congress on Nov. 8, 1988, the "Regulations for the Implementation of the People's Republic of China on the Protection of Terrestrial Wildlife" ratified by the State Council on Feb.12, 1992 and issued by China's Forestry Ministry on Mar.1, 1992, and "Management Procedures on License for Domestication and Breeding of Wildlife under Special State Protection" approved by China's Forestry Ministry on Dec.30, 1990 and implemented on Apr.1, 1991. All these regulations have clauses on animal farming and the "Husbandry Law" being drafted specifies animal welfare including farming and transportation. In addition, relevant standards have specific regulations on welfare of fur animals. Additionally, some national and local standards have clear definitions on breeding conditions, cage dimensions, nutrition composition and also immunity, which assures the due animal welfare during their raising."

Qoute: "You wouldn't wear a dog or a cat, would you?"

Rebuttal: Who is talking about dogs and cats, we are talking about fur which I can assure you the vast  majority is not dog or cat. In fact North American Fur Auctions doesn't allow the sale of feral cat fur, even though feral cats are a clear nuisance.

Qoute: "Everyone will run into an animal advocate like you someday"

Rebuttal: You are not an animal advocate, the animals did not hire you or tell you anything. If a wild bear was chasing you the animal advocate card will not work, he won't stop! Trappers and hunters have been the biggest advocates for wildlife conservation, who saved the bison-hunters did! Not Peta folk, read this article by a Illinois Department of Natural Resources that shows you how and why trappers and hunters care most about wildlife.
